Getting your tickets

How your tickets reach you, when to expect them, and what to do on the night if something has gone wrong.

E-tickets, included as standard

Your confirmation email arrives within a few minutes of ordering and carries your booking reference. The tickets themselves come later, as a separate email with a barcode for each one.

Tickets are released 48 hours before the show starts. That applies to every event on the site, so the barcodes are not in your inbox the moment you book: the booking reference is what you hold until then. Book inside that 48 hours and the tickets follow within a few minutes of the order instead.

Show the barcode on your phone at the door. Screen brightness up, screenshot saved in case the venue has no signal, and one barcode per person: everyone in your group needs their own, so forward theirs before you set off.

Posted tickets, if you want them

Physical tickets can be added at checkout for a flat £2.50, sent by Royal Mail Signed For. They are extra, never automatic, and they are not needed for entry: the e-tickets work on their own.

Posted tickets are sent within three working days and are not dispatched less than seven days before the event, since the post cannot be relied on to arrive in time. If you order inside that window, the option is not offered.

Nothing has arrived

Check your spam or junk folder first, and search for the booking reference rather than the sender. If it is genuinely missing, email hello@uklivetickets.com from the address you booked with and we resend it.

You are never locked out of a show by a lost email. The box office holds the booking against the name and reference on the order, so bring photographic ID and they can look it up.

Changing the name on a ticket

Where a promoter requires the lead booker to attend, the event page says so before you buy. Otherwise the name matters only if you are asked for ID at the door.

To change a name, email us at least 72 hours before the event with the booking reference. There is no charge. The deadline sits a day ahead of the tickets themselves, which are released 48 hours before the show, so a change is made before the barcodes go out rather than after.

Accessible tickets

Accessible places and personal assistant tickets are arranged with the venue's access team and are issued by them, so they may reach you by a different route. See accessible booking.
