Standing or seated: how to choose

A tour on this site sells its tickets in up to four categories, and the concert page lists the ones that tour has under the heading What the tickets are. The ticket names on the picker are the tour's own; the rows under that heading name the category, so you can match one to the other.

This page says what each category is. It does not say which is best, because that depends on you.

Unreserved standing on the floor, first come first served. There is no seat and no fixed spot. You stand where you find room when you arrive, and how close you are to the stage depends on when you get in.

Unreserved standing too, in the pen nearest the stage. It is a category of its own, so one floor can hold two standing pens at two prices, and it sells at 40% more than general admission at the same show. That rate is a rule for every show on the site, not a figure set night by night.

Seated, tier 1 and Seated, tier 2 are numbered seats. Where the concert page has a seating plan, you choose the block on the plan and your seat is in that block. Where there is no plan, the seat is allocated when you book.

Some venues are standing only, and the concert page says so beside the capacity.

Beside every block on a plan there is a drawing of the whole plan with that block picked out, and a sentence saying the same thing in words: Lower tier, facing the stage, about halfway back, or Standing on the floor, in front of the stage.

The sentence is worked out from the plan itself, from where the stage stands and where the block is. Nothing is written by hand about any block, and there are no photographs of the view from one.

Left and right are yours as you face the stage. Distances are put into words, close to the stage, about halfway back, at the far end, and never given as a length, because the plans carry no measurements. Where a block is beside the stage or behind it, the sentence says so.

Every price on the plan and on the picker is the price you pay for one ticket, booking fee included, with the face value and the fee printed under it. The total does not go up between the concert page and payment.
